Top 5 feminine Summer shoes

Ladies, having already shared what summer shoes to avoid in my previous post I thought I would be a little more positive and actually give you my advice on what makes a feminine summer shoe. Here are my absolute favorites I couldn’t live without!

1.Espadrilles

I love, love, love espadrilles! I’ve written about this before in my feminine summer essentials. Espadrilles are chic, comfortable, and yes, very feminine.

I’m talking about the ones that have some sort of heel, I personally prefer the ones with a wedge.

They come in so many different colors and designs - it’s such a treat to wear them each and every summer. My favorite brand is Castañer but nowadays, almost every brand has their own version.

A total classic and no-brainer in my opinion.

2. Ballerinas

OK, so this classic is not only a summer shoe, but I happen to wear them a lot in the summer as well. Actually, these days I basically live in ballerinas now that I’m a new mom.

Ballerinas are beyond cute and again, the variety available in colors, textures, and designs is endless.

Ballerinas are super feminine and extremely comfortable.

3. Mules

Even though mules are very casual looking, depending on the design and fabric, they can definitely be a feminine summer shoe.

Many years ago, as a teenager, I remember a very glamorous house guest we had, and she wore the most gorgeous mules I had ever seen. At the time, a very pointy toe was in fashion.

These mules were very pointy with a brocade duck egg blue pattern, perhaps they were silk. The fact that I still remember those shoes is a testament to their staying power.

To be totally honest, I am not wearing mules this summer but I’m now tempted to look for a new pair. 😉

4. Peep-toes

This style reminds of the 1940’s. Whenever I wear a peep-toe heeled slingback, I feel like I’m in an episode of Poirot!

There is something so cute and playful about a peep-toe, I mean the name itself is telling you that you’re playing peek-a-boo with your feet! LOL!

Just make sure your pedicure is up to it.

5. Keds

Keds are the most feminine sneakers I can think of. Everything else out there is bulky, chunky, and just plain unattractive in my opinion.

By Keds, I am referring to their Champion classic model. It is so light and simple, and the lines are very flattering on anybody.

I just saw they have a new collab with Kate Spade - it’s super cute!

There you go! Did I forget your feminine summer shoe? Let me know!

much love,

Mrs. Hannover
